Abbey is an active member of the Undergraduate Psychology Society and works for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a Student Ambassador. She plays clarinet in the campus band, and serves as an Arts Ambassador. She volunteers at the Ronald McDonald Charity House and serves as an ELI Conversation Circle Facilitator. She is known for her tiny handwriting and witty comments.

Alexander loves sports, medicine, and sports medicine. In his free time he enjoys building theater sets for MUSKET, an all student theater group, as well as being a member of the Organization of Athletic Training Students here on campus. He loves his twin sister very much and appreciates bad jokes.

Art and Anthropology double major

Ellie is a sophomore studying art and anthropology.  She is interested in how an environment shapes visual culture and arts role in what makes us human.  In her art she is currently exploring how we find comfort within an environment, and how this adds to the ecology and history of the area.  She is a docent at the UM Natural History Museum and a member of Epsilon Eta, a professional environmental fraternity on campus. Faulkner is an aspiring film audio engineer / sound designer. He composes sound and music for films, theatre, and video games across campus and for fun. He is a member of the UofM Audio Engineering Society chapter, WCBN Student Radio, and has played for the UofM Basketball Pep Band. Faulkner spends a lot of his time on trails and in parks; he also loves to eat fresh, local foods.

Grant is a member of the Society of Physics Students, where he serves as Outreach Chair, as well as the American Physical Society. On campus he conducts research on general relativity, black holes, and neutron stars as part of the Michigan Gravitational Wave Group. He also enjoys playing percussion and piano, as well as telling people how cool physics is. In his free time he competes in Pokémon tournaments.

Hi! I am a Junior in the School of Nursing. I want to pursue pediatric oncology nursing and help the kiddos of the world fight the good fight. I am a member of Nursing Student Government and a Snackpass ambassador (use my code “gimmedasnacks” for a FREE grabbagreen smoothie!) I am also a member of Global Brigades which helps around Ann Arbor as well as doing a medical mission in Honduras in May! Additionally, I am a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. I love to bake, run, and do yoga. My favorite animal is an elephant and I love listening to Queen. Welcome to Shipman y’all!! Embrace it! Julia Hunter

Julia is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Pre-Medical Fraternity and Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She works as an assistant in a neuroscience lab, as well as volunteers in the Hospital Elder Life Program. She is also a member of the Jam Club. She enjoys finding Ann Arbor coffee shops, walking in the Arboretum (the “Arb,” as us sophisticated Michigan students call it), and finding dogs on campus.

He loves running, kayaking, fishing, Star Wars, and all things Michigan sports, eh. He’s active in Detroit Revitalization and Business Initiative. He’s also a member of Yooper Club, Student Actuaries at Michigan, Cru Church, and MRun. He also has the mistaken belief that B-A-G is pronounced B-A-Y-G. He’s wrong. Eh.

Nicolas enjoys being on the board for a swing dance club called Swing Ann Arbor. He also likes playing the banjo as much as possible and serving as dungeon master in Dungeons and Dragons.

Oliver is an enthusiastic trumpet player who is also pursuing an engineering degree with all of the nonexistent time he spends not playing trumpet. In the free time on top of that which he doesn’t have, he enjoys having a good time with friends and attempting to play sports. He enjoys attending and performing in concerts, as well as volunteering with your music groups and sometimes just killing time walking through campus. He can do an english accent, play the piano, and plays a mean game of table tennis. He also claims to always win at monopoly. He does not take the time to properly crop photos before submitting them to surveys.

William likes to spend his time running, but not enough to be worth being cold so that hobby goes on hold in the winter.
