Shipman Society Student Relations Chair and engineering sophomore Sara Bashir runs her own threading business from her apartment in Ann Arbor. A feature in the Michigan Daily notes that her “customers not only appreciate Bashir for her actual threading services, but also for the comfortable experience she provides.” The most important part of her business, says Sara, is the community she has found in her customers, and the charity she is able to do by donating thirty per cent of her proceeds organizations including the Muslim Center Soup Kitchen in Detroit.
